Welcome …
My name is Kendra (she/hers/ella),
I began my career as a social worker in New York City’s criminal justice system, as an advocate and counselor for high-risk youth and other systems-impacted groups. My approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment and resiliency.
As a first-generation Latina and independent contractor, I found my calling in amplifying underrepresented voices— not just through direct service but through digital storytelling and creative collaboration.
I’ve since worked with nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and small businesses rooted in social impact to help them execute their vision and deepen their impact. This work is my offering: a blend of spirit, strategy and emotional intelligence.
Soul work in social work refers to a holistic approach that integrates spirituality and personal growth into the therapeutic process, with a focus on healing the "wounded" soul and fostering self-discovery and self-compassion.
This goes beyond traditional talking therapies by incorporating elements like ritual, meditation, movement, and creativity.
